Island Cation

Omø, named Island of the Year in 2023, is a small idyllic island of around 4.5 km2 with 11.6 km of coastline, located in the Great Belt. You get to the island by ferry from Stigsnæs harbor near Skælskør. The beautiful boat trip takes 50 minutes, during which you can relax in the lounge or on deck. You may even be lucky enough to see porpoises jumping out of the sea close to the ferry during the trip.

You can swim all along the island, but the best beaches are on Draget, by the harbor and on the pearl beach.

Should you get hungry, you can eat at Omø hos Marlene - Café, Grill, Kiosk and Shop at Omø Harbor, where you can buy delicious homemade food morning, noon and night. The counter is also full of treats to take home.
